Graph the following without a calculator.

y = (x+1)^2 + 3

y = -(x)^2 - 2

y = |x-1| + 2

y = -|x+2|

College Mathematics

Study for Friday's quiz. Expect to solve functions using the easiest method possible: factoring, completing the square, or the quadratic formula. Calculators will not be permitted!

AP Calculus

Study for Friday's quiz. Expect problems where you must graph a function using first/second derivatives, critical values of them, and other problems using Rolle's and the Mean Value Theorem.

College Mathematics

The homework is the 5 board problems.

AP Calculus

Your homework is the worksheet over Rolle's Theorem and the Intermediate Value Theorem, #'s 1-3, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15-18. I'm aiming at a quiz on Friday covering graphs: using first and second derivatives to graph a function, graphing first and second derivatives based upon a given function and some problems applying Rolle's and the Intermediate Value Theorem.

College Mathematics

Grades have been entered. Some were lowered based upon absences. Your lowest quiz grade has been thrown out. A few of you were signed out for the blood drive. While we appreciate your contribution, it does not excuse you from missing the mid-term. A tentative zero has been entered until it is made up. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via email at djsuominen@cps.edu. Have a good weekend.
