Honors Calculus 11/23/13

Here are the answers from the suggested review problems.

So, the problem in class, the one with the two ships bothered me the entire day, as some of you may or may not already know.  What needs to be taken into account is the positions and the directions.  If you plot points on a coordinate plane, one would see if B is the origin, A's position is initially (-150,0) on the coordinate plane, while B is (0,0).  After 4 hours, A's position is then (-10,0) while B is (0,100).  Both are moving in the positive x and y direction, therefore dx/dt is positive and dy/dt is positive.  A worked out solution is below.
Below is the test.  6's t value is in MINUTES! Also, since that problem yesterday had me going crazy, some hints for it.  Plot points on a coordinate plane representing the ships.  Take into account directions, whether they move in a positive or negative direction.
